I have issues with the “bury your gays” trope as well, absolutely. And I can see why a lot of Trekkies reject the show due to its rather wild interpretation of canon (I don’t get people who hate on it just to hate on it tho). I loved Isaacs as Lorca, he was my favorite from the moment he introduced himself in that dark ready room. And yeah, a lot of fans love Tilly! Heh.
