About Me/Other Info: I'm mainly here looking for friends, and to talk about my musings, instead of bottling it up. I went to uni for Creative Writing, and am currently trying to break into the publishing industry, but since I don't live in NY, it's challenging.

I'm a long-time fandom lurker. Example: I was on tumblr years before I made an account. So I'm completely rusty on talking online/making online friends, but I'd like to change that! I'm tired of being the only one of my IRL friend group who likes what I like, haha. Currently I'm learning Tarot (not for divination, just reflection) and unfortunately working on a Twilight AU WIP (monster!Bella!!). I don't even like Twilight anymore T-T I do have a tumblr and a new fandom Twitter, which I use a lot, but both are sort of...all over the place, and super public. I'd like to carve out a calmer, friendlier space.

our interests only vaguely overlap but i subscribed anyway, if thats alright? i can relate to being a longtime lurker, even now i mostly keep to myself in fandom besides my small friend group and various small discord servers lol. dreamwidth is definitely quite insular but i think that makes it kind of comforting in a way, not burdened by the large userbases of social media

yeah of course! and i've subscribed back :) nice to meet you! it definitely feels quieter here, which is like a nice breathing space, versus the endless scrolling of the other socials.

Yessss definitely! I'd love to be mutuals! I'm doing a rewatch of JJBA with IRL friends (well, now we're doing Pt 5, which is the only one I haven't seen), so I'm excited to have ThoughtsTM to talk about on JJBA.

Hooray and omigosh, would LOVE to hear/gush about JJBA.

Also wanted to mentioned I noticed you had a PGSM icon which I think is the second best adaptation/take to the series after the original anime.

Oh, I am so excited to see a PGSM icon! I mean, I am excited to see any SM content, but I just finished re-watching PGSM, and, ah, my heart!

Hello! We have Ace Attorney, Sailor Moon, and creative writing in common! I also will always have a love for Naruto though I'm not active in the fandom. I've thought about rewatching it at some point. We post about the same things too. I have an interest in tarot, but with hobbies and all, I haven't had time to search for a deck or research, lol. Hi! Honestly Naruto is an old fandom of mine too--my sister is more the Naruto fan than me, but we've been (slowly. so slowly) getting through Shippuden, so I figured I may as well mention it in my fandoms, haha. I'm glad to see some Ace Attorney people on here! I got into it just these past two years, and I love it so much.

SM has my heart, forever and always. I haven't watched PGSM in years, but your comment reminds me...I could (should) definitely binge it this weekend!

I cried my way through those last episodes all over again. AH, I am haunted by what they might have done for a second season, although this is mostly motivated by my pure love of the musicals and a desire to see a live action Setsuna on screen.

Setsuna, my beloved...she would've been so amazing, I have total faith they would've knocked Dark Kingdom out of the park. I haven't seen any of the musicals, but I've heard of them. I meant to watch the Dracula ones last October but a lot got in the way. One day I'll finally watch them.

the Dracula arc is my absolute favourite!! I will go to my grave trying to convince people of how great these musicals are, I'm sure!

That's fair lol, I'll always have a love for the Naruto series, even if I don't directly watch it. As for AA, I need to find my copies of the first 5 games and do a play through again. It has been a little while. Have you seen the Ace Attorney anime?

I've seen the first episode of the anime, but haven't continued. Is it good? I haven't played the 5th game, and since it's not on the Switch (yet?), I might watch a Let's Play of it. I'm currently going through The Great Ace Attorney thanks to the Switch release.

Hardcore agree. It's got that same cheesy charm the original anime had while also looking at the characters' development & implications straight in the eyes, in a way I wish the manga had done more of. It's *dreamy sigh*

It seems to be pretty interesting. Hubby and I watched 2 episodes. I liked it and wanted to see more. He seemed more "Meh?" about it. The Great Ace Attorney is definitely on my list to pick up soon (I'm between jobs so bills first for now. Yay Adulthood! Lol). I'm sure it's really good, but have you enjoyed it so far?

Yessssssss!!! I was so surprised at how mature some of the themes got for such a cheesy plot but it just worked!

I watched the first episode with my mom, and she had a similar reaction, calling it cheesy. "That's part of the draw! It's endearing, mother" lmao. But yes to The Great Ace Attorney! I'm nearly done with the first game, and the cases are pretty good. It's interesting how they changed up the court system in this one, and of course, the Sherlock Holmes character(s). I highly recommend when you get the chance.

I love the Tarot and teach it occasionally! I'm also an English grad whose thesis was on creative writing, I'm likewise trying to break into the publishing industry. I like the pace of Dreamwidth but I do find it more of a challenge finding people to talk to here. I've subscribed to you :)

I'm still learning (on the Minor Arcana right now!) so I'll love reading your posts about it :D and may we both get our breakthroughs in publishing soon! I've subscribed back.

We've got some interests in common! I'm part of the way through ORV, I stalled out for a bit due to life stuff but I'm hoping to pick it back up soon. And I've been spending the last.... three and a half years slowly working my way through Naruto, which is a little alarming to think about. I've subscribed if that's alright!

Hello!! Never too late :D And an ORV reader! It's one of the most satisfying reads I've had in a while, so I hope you like it once you pick it back up. I'm also slowly working my way through Naruto too. I only recently finished s1 of Shippuden, but I know spoiler stuff from my sister plus social media osmosis, haha. Maybe one day I'll read the manga too orz

According to the tab that I still have open, I was on chapter 231/551 of ORV... but to be honest I don't really remember what was happening so I'll have to go back a fair amount. I really loved what I'd read so far though!

Oof yeah, that's a good chunk in. If you have to go back 100 chapters or so, I do know of a reddit recap resource that I can link if you need it! It only goes up to about 183 I think.
