Looking for fandom friends

Main Fandoms: Current fixations are Interview with the Vampire/The Vampire Chronicles, Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, DC Comics and adaptations (I’m rewatching Smallville like it’s the 2000s), House of the Dragon. I’ve also finally started reading again after a long slump so I’m getting into all kinds of books series, mostly fantasy and historical fiction, that I missed.

Other Fandoms: I circle back around to all the same fandoms eventually, including MCU (specifically the Netflix shows), The Old Guard, X-Men, Supernatural, Merlin, Star Trek (mostly AOS), Harlots, The Magicians, Highlander if we want to go way back into the mists of time…

Fannish Interests: Fanfic (I’m sultrybutdamaged on Ao3 as well), character analysis, meta. I’m kind of obsessed with the whole process of adaptations, especially book-to-screen, and love talking about the changes and what they mean. I love both serious conversations about themes and influences and silly headcanons.

OTPs and Ships: I am a multi-shipper with no loyalty to any one ship in a fandom (except X-Men, Cherik forever.) I love polyamorous ships and non-conventional takes on relationships in general. In most fandoms I have 2-3 favorite characters who I just ship with everyone. I read and talk about all kinds of ships but in my own writing lean mostly towards f/f or mixed-gender polyam ships. I also really love writing/reading/talking about non-romantic pairings, especially family relationships.

Other Stuff About Me: I’ve been in fandom for a long time but took a break for a while and came back in 2019, so a lot of the time I’m playing catch up. I’m queer, aroace, polyam, disabled and ADHD, which I mention because I project all of that all over my favorite fictional people. There are subjects that can get me heated but I mostly try to avoid fandom drama and negativity.

What I Post About:… um, not sure? I’ve had a Dreamwidth for a while but mostly used it for following fic events. But I’m trying to get into using it more for fandom stuff, especially with certain other platforms going the way they’ve been going. I will probably post informal book/TV reviews, rambling essays about my headcanons, links to fic (mine and recs). I can promise that if we become friends I will be all over commenting on your posts.

Bonjour, bonjour. I am new to the community. I want to add you if you would have me. I am an Asexual of 𝟛𝟠 of age. I live in the East Coast. I am a big fan of Supernatural. I have a favorite. I respect the Cast though I had some bad experiences with other actors/characters. I like Marvel and X-Men, too. I know Merlin by name. I always wanted to watch it to see if it would be to my liking. Unfortunately, it is no where to be found. Unless I purchase the DVD's. I love Charles/Erik. Used to be one of my rare slash ships back in my First Class days. Star Trek is a classic. I was doing a Merlin rewatch but I paused and now I think they might have moved the show to Peacock, which I don’t have. It’s a fun show. A little goofier than some of our mutual favorites but the characters are great.

First Class-era Cherik was the best.

Tell me, just curious, do you believe that Eileen was Sam's wife in the series finale? I always loved that couple. They were so cute. I am going to grant access/subscribe back.

Oh man, I definitely want to think Eileen was the wife. Partially because I love the two of them together and partially because I can’t see Sam marrying someone who knows nothing about the hunter world and everything he’s been through. That’s just too sad to me.

Right. I definitely want to think that she was the wife, too. Either Eileen or Sarah. Sarah would be a good choice too. I basically love every woman that Sam had adventures with, even if it was only a day. For example, like Cara in Sex And Violence. Yes, I could not agree more. Eileen was unique. She was different than the others. She knew what is the deal with the hunters life. I am glad that you find my icon adorable. Thank you for your feedback. A friend of mine made it for me.
