I've never looked for any directions for making yogurt with the bread machine, so maybe it's a different recipe, where it actually is making yogurt. I'm not sure I'm interested enough to find out... LOL. Perhaps one day.
Yeah, I like dunking the bread even when it's fresh, but it also works for the 'croutons' as long as you don't cut them too big, and give them time to soak.
I love Southwest flavors, so whenever I get tortilla chips, I have the bits at the bottom of the bag and use those in soup in lieu of crackers. I rarely have saltines in the house, but IMHO, using the tortilla chips tastes so much better in those soups with the Southwestern flavors. I make a spicy bean soup from scratch.
