I'm super new to both Dreamwidth and the Harry Potter fandom, so I'm still stumbling around quite a bit but I'd love to make some friends! I'm a selfshipper / oc x canon shipper, so most of the HP related stuff I write (and plan to post here) is related to that, if that's up anyone's alley. (I do love fellow selfshippers!)

I fixate on Professor Slughorn a lot, but my other favorite Harry Potter characters are Hagrid, Argus Filch, Remus Lupin (post-marauders), Alastor Moody, Lucius Malfoy, and Barty Crouch Sr. !

I'm probably not the person you're looking for, because my brainrot is purely for James/Sirius and James/Sirius only (mostly on tumblr). But I want to say that I respect your commitment to those old men and you should write whatever you like forever.

1) Honestly that’s a cute ship, even tho I don’t know much about the Marauders era I respect it, and the brainrot respect is reciprocated. 🤝 So if you still want a friend in me I’ll totally let you on board!!

It might be a bit lonely to like rare pairs/characters like us, but at least we're insulated from the chaos that is the rest of the fandom!

This is true!! I've noticed that in a fandom as big as this, it is kind of divided into its own little niches/sub-communities based on character interests which I think is really fascinating. I'm not new to giant fandoms like this but I am still adjusting to them. And thank you! They've charmed me and there's no getting out of it, so might as well embrace it, they make me happy.

Yay another Potterhead! I'm a huge HP fan. I also love: Hagrid, Remus Lupin, Lucius Malfoy, and Barty Crouch Sr. I often go to Universal Studios and enjoy HP land. I'm a Hufflepuff.

For my birthday I got to go to Universal Studios for the first time as a Harry Potter fan (I've been there once or twice before but it was before I liked HP) and I've been dying to go back!!

Nice, I just went this month, going again next month after payday. We try to go at least once a month to Universal and Disney. Nice, HP land is amazing, I wish they could build more like Orlando. I bet. Hope you get to!

Oh that's wonderful!! I can only afford to go once every couple years so I savor it as much as possible. If I recall correctly I've only been thrice in my life. Four max. More in my future I hope!

Understandable. We live like an hour and half away or so depending on traffic, so we figured we would go once a month to get our season pass worth, often taking our own snacks/drinks/sandwiches to help save money and enjoy a day there. Hope so for you, it's amazing! I can't wait to go again next month.
