Fannish Interests: I do just about everything that has a chance of coming out of my hands in a shape that's at least vaguely palatable -- fan-fic writing, roleplaying, graphics-making and recently I've acquired something of a taste for meta (proof being the pile of unfinished analysis essays lounging around on my hard-drive).
Favourite Movies: Boys Don't Cry, The Celluloid Closet, Closer, Tipping the Velvet, Dogma.

Books: Rebecca (Daphne du Maurier), The Magician (John Fowles), the Dune series (Frank Herbert), Malazan Book of the Fallen (Stephen Erikson), A Song of Ice and Fire (G.R.R. Martin), Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden -- I didn't think much of the film version, though).

Other Info: I'm a genderqueer university student from the back-end of the civilized world, majoring in Political Science and Sociology, with a habit of doing LGBT advocacy on the side. I'm pretty mellow and laid-back unless something really manages to get under my skin (as a general rule, I have dismally little patience for elitism, canon-bashing, discrimination on subjective criteria and everything else of the sort). My interests are quite eclectic and tend to span the entire spectrum of fandom.
