Looking for new blogging friends again

we_protect_each_otherI've tried this a handful of times without a ton of success. Mostly, I think this was because I had forgotten how to blog. I had tried a few times to transition to using dreamwidth from tumblr, because the latter was so impersonal. It never stuck, though, because low effort tumbling is a tough habit to break. In the meantime, I have reduced tumblr use a lot, though. I was a member of a forum for a particular fandom for a while, but right now I'm looking for more independence with an online presence. I really want to know other people with similar interests, though.

Fannish Interests: My main way of participating in fandom is through writing and reading fic. I have been trying to remind myself to read more lately, and anytime I read something to the end I make sure to comment. I believe in giving constructive and supportive feedback everywhere I can in fandom. I'd really like other fic writers and like-minded readers to talk to. I also make gifs on tumblr once in a blue moon. Some meta discourse likely, and I believe in critical examination of media, but I'm usually too tired for that to be a daily thing. I believe it's possible to like things that have issues and that nothing in mainstream media of any kind is going to be perfect, but I try to acknowledge flaws without it being the sole measure of a work unless they're egregious.
