Name: Amado
Age group: I'm in my 30s, any age group is fine!
Country: USA
Subscription/Access Policy: Anyone is welcome, most of my posts are public :)
Main Fandoms: Star Trek (including books and fanzines), Sherlock Holmes (ACD, Grenada, pastiche books), Gargoyles (reading the new comics as they come out!!)
Other Fandoms: I was a huge Star Wars nut for a while and I still dip my toes in to read my friends' fics or review zines!
Fannish Interests: Slash, writing and reading fanfic, zines, hurt/comfort, exchanges, meta, fandom itself! For Fannish Fifty, I'm working through my zine collection (it spans 1977-2006) and writing comprehensive reviews. I'm also very Freedom of Fiction, pro-ship, and involved in that sphere of meta.
OTPs and Ships: My favorites are probably Holmes/Watson and Riker/Troi. I'm a major multishipper. I like to write and read just about everything for the fandoms I'm in.
Favourite Movies: Power of the Dog, Brokeback Mountain, Farewell My Concubine, Dead Ringers, Nope 2022, Ravenous. I've always been a huge horror nut.
TV Shows: The Terror, Hannibal, Star Trek TOS, TNG, and DS9 (I'm not as into the new series but I'm looking forward to Picard S3!). I can rewatch any of these, any time!
Books: Currently reading and reviewing the Dr. Watson thriller series by Robert Ryan! My all-time favorites are Confessions of a Mask (Yukio Mishima); Giovanni's Room (James Baldwin); Absent in the Spring (Agatha Christie); Stoner (John Williams); and for sci-fi books I adore anything that combines ~gender~ with hurt/comfort, like Octavia E. Butler's Xenogenesis triloy, Carolyn Ives Gilman's Halfway Human, Mary Doria Russell's Sparrow/Children of God.
Music: I like the blues, David Bowie, 70s country, 90s rap, and heavy metal :)
Games: Ace Attorney is my main squeeze and I'm slowly working my way through the latest English one. I used to be extremely active in the old Court-Records forum, but it's been easily 10+ years since I peeked in on the fandom!
Comics/Anime/Misc: Watchmen, Batman, love-hate relationship with Tom King. For manga I love hurt/comfort-y "problematic" BL like Kaze to Ki no Uta and Twittering Birds Never Fly. You guys remember Nabari no Ou?! Oh my god I was in love with that, and I recently tried to track down and reread the English-release volumes. But I also love Zipang, I adored Naruto and Death Note the whole time they were coming out, and I've been known to binge-read newer manga like Spy x Family and Hanako-Kun. I love Killing Stalking but I can't hardly remember it now; I'm slowly rereading it as the deluxe editions come out. And I'm a big fan of the MDZS manhua (and ofc the original book, not so much the show).
