I was never much of a fan of classic shoujo anime, but it caught my attention due to the fact that it was surprisingly cynical when it dealt with love and emotions in general. Then there was also Kyoko, an.... interesting female lead, shall we say. I won't say anymore for fear of spoilers. XD
