Subscription/Access Policy: It's... messy. A lot of my public posts are from when I did song translations, and most of my personal posts are friends locked (though they should probably just be erased at this point). I'd be happy to add anyone, as long as they comment or send me a message with a hello so I can know who they are.
Main Fandoms: Sailor Moon, Final Fantasy (VII, VIII, XII, XIII), Doctor Who, Silent Hill, Madoka Magica, Souls games, The Evil Within, and Persona.
Other Fandoms: Dir en grey, Ayumi Hamasaki, MST3k, Code Geass, Uncharted, Fatal Frame, Resident Evil, Bayonetta, Digital Devil Saga, Deadly Premonition. Does being a fan of LPers count as fandoms? That's weird, but if so: I watch TBFP/Best Friends Zaibatsu, FightinCowboy, GirlGamerGaB, and Game Grumps.
Fannish Interests: Victorian literature/history/fashion, haute couture fashion, dark fantasy/horror, gothic romance, speculative fiction, and professional wrestling (WWE, ROH, NJPW, PWG).

TV Shows: I don't watch TV much anymore, but I like Elementary, Parks and Recreation, Penny Dreadful, Doctor Who (I don't watch it anymore, but I still like what I did see!), and pretty much any/all period dramas.
Books: Deathless by Catherynne M. Valente, Hogfather by Terry Pratchett, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I'll pretty much read anything that's sci-fi/fantasy, horror, or romance, too.
Music: Anything. Seriously, anything. Honorable mentions to: Dir en grey, BUCK-TICK, Ayumi Hamasaki, Atsushi Sakurai, The Birthday Massacre, David Bowie, NIN, Bat For Lashes, Killswitch Engage, Zoe Keating, Pantera and Kalafina.
Games: I listed several already but again, I love RPGs and horror, so if it fits into either category, chances are I've played it or really want to play it. Some more off the top of my head: Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout, Ace Attorney, Bloodborne, AC Syndicate, and Lollipop Chainsaw.
Comics/Anime/Misc: I don't read comics, and while I don't watch much anime I'm slowly coming to terms with that embarrassing part of my life. Sailor Moon, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Death Note, Princess Tutu, Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, and all Miyazaki movies are way up there with my favorites, but I'm always looking for more suggestions! Especially if they're fantasy/horror.
Other Info: I moved to DW ages ago during the mass LJ exodus, and I've mostly been active on Tumblr these past several years. Well, Tumblr sucks, so I'm looking to pick up again here. I also use Twitter, have AIM/Skype, and write fanfics on AO3 if you're interested in that. All the links are in my bio. I write CONSTANTLY. Fanfics, original fics, poetry, etc. I talk about that a lot on my Twitter, and all my fanfics are at AO3. I even take commissions and can help edit papers if you'd like, but that's neither here nor there.
I've always treated online journals/blogs as sincerely personal places to vent, so some of my entries can be a bit dire and heavy. I tag and warn appropriately. If you need to know what sort of "damage" you're wandering into: I've been diagnosed with bipolar-ii and PTSD, and I'm fairly certain I have rapidly developing anxiety. I'm not nearly as miserable or unhappy as I used to be, but my life is also super boring right now, so my entries will be few and far between as I get back into the flow of it. That's why I also recommend following me on just about any other social media place, since I'll be sure to show up there, too :D

Date: 2016-01-19 01:38 am (UTC)Madoka Magica is one of those things where I'd seen so much about it, finally bit the bullet to watch it, and feel like a huge chunk of my life was carved out by the thing, haha. I'm a sucker for magical girl stories though, so it was bound to be my weakness.
Part of my undergraduate studies heavily involved Victorian history and literature, and just my luck, a lot of the dark fantasy/horror stuff I like also takes place in that time period.
Good luck to you! Japanese can be tricky, but it's well worth all the effort put into it. Most of the entries I made only have the translations, because I got lazy, but some also include the romaji and original Japanese text. If you ever want to see the original versions, I can link you to them!
