Yet another migrant here from Tumblr-- I had many an LJ years ago because I was an active RPer but jumped ship during Strikethrough.
One of the reasons I shifted here was actually because I miss RPing, Tumblr was never meant for it, though I tried it there, it'll never beat good old forum-style RPing.
My deets:
Name: Rae
Age: Old Enough
Fan fic author, cosplayer/seamstress/costumer, really heavy into meta analysis and discourse (as much as I loathe to call it that), I have a passionate love for a lot of dead or near dead fandoms, because, to quote Lemony Snicket: The World Is Quiet Here. I'm not here for fandom dramatics, it was never my scene to begin with. I don't really ship anything outside of my weird AUs, so shipping as a whole doesn't come up much,
AO3: Raeseddon
Fandoms currently writing in:
Ronin Warriors/ Yoroiden Samurai Troopers
Dungeons and Dragons (80's cartoon)
As for fandoms I will blog about or am interested in talking to people about:

Death Note
Ouran High School Host Club
Pokemon (not 100% caught up on Sun/Moon)

Live Action Movies/TV
Pacific Rim
Back to the Future I-III
Big Hero 6
Disney (I love me some meta/analysis of the Renaissance Era movies, because who doesn't)
Studio Ghibli
LotR (more the books than the movies, because hilariously in depth book analysis gives me LIFE)
Zombie/Survival movies as a genre

Date: 2018-12-04 04:20 am (UTC)But yes, thank you. I will be importing some character analysis soon as I'm starting another re-watch. (Did you know it's on Crunchyroll subbed? Because it is, and if you've never seen it subbed it's almost a different series. 100x better than the dub.)

Date: 2018-12-04 06:28 pm (UTC)I see people link this a lot to beginners starting out here, but you'll need to scroll down to "guides/advice" for starting out - that should really be first in this list, I think. There's a lot of info there, and I also have a guide to starting out myself here that I made to try and distill things a little better.

Date: 2018-12-04 04:33 pm (UTC)I have recently been on a Victorian era kick and ordered a few dress and skirt patterns. Do you use Folkwear patterns at all? They're pricey but a wonder repository of historical patterns.

Date: 2018-12-04 04:40 pm (UTC)LOL!
I usually make my own patterns, but I've been looking at Folkwear Patterns for years. They are so pretty! I've mostly made 18th century, but I'm branching out and did a Pre-raphaleite inspired wardrobe for a Victorian weekend this summer.
