Deets: Late 20s (let's just say I knew a time before Pokemon or Harry Potter were things), queer (ace/bi), she/her
Country: NZ
Subscription/Access Policy: Personal stuff, whinge/whine posts, and stuff I don't want getting bandied about the internet are generally locked. If I recognise you/you have brilliant opinions/we've been chatting a bit, I'll add you to the access list. Same goes for subscribing to you really as well, though due to the format if you're a high volume poster I'm not likely to.
Main Fandoms: Doctor Who is my current mainline fandom, but MCU/Marvel comics and Sherlock Holmes (and related fandoms as AO3 puts it) also have the staying power
Other/minor/past fandoms: A:TLA/LoK, Pacific Rim, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Discworld, Good Omens, Doctrine of Labyrinths, Emelan/Circle of Magic series, Young Wizards, Fullmetal Alchemist, xxxHOLiC, X-Men: First Class
Fannish Interests: I write fic mostly! Sometimes I'll pull out the old Photoshop and make some gifs or edits, but that's few and far between. Same goes for making fsts. Love looking at and squeeing over art though.
OTPs and Ships: I'm a multi-shipper and a poly-shipper, there are too many to count. But a selection includes: Doctor/TARDIS, Doctor/Master (any and all incarnations), Doctor/River Song, Bucky Barnes/Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers, Tony Stark/Pepper Potts/James "Rhodey" Rhodes, Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanoff, Lokane (Jane Foster/Loki), Sherlock Holmes/John Watson/Mary Morstan, Sherlock Holmes/Mary Morstan
Favourite Movies: Hanna, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, The Shape of Water
TV Shows: Doctor Who, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Killjoys, Counterpart, QI, Only Connect
Books: Good Omens, Night Watch, Thief of Time, The Night Circus, The Time Traveller's Wife
Comics/Anime/Misc: Otoyomegatari, The Ancient Magus Bride, No Such Thing as a Fish (podcast), Marvel Puzzle Quest (game)
Other Info: I listen to a lot of podcasts that range from being fandoms (WTNV, Mabel) to about fandoms (Verity, Fansplaining) and non-fiction (No Such Thing as a Fish, Gastropod). I enjoy baking, crafting and graphic design. I love learning about history and science. I also love cats but don't have one.

Date: 2018-12-21 04:32 am (UTC)Did spot a couple of comms that I might be interested in, but the ones I'm most interested in I'd already found.

Date: 2018-12-21 04:52 am (UTC)I only discovered Verity last year when I fell into Doctor Who again, so I've been selectively listening to their archives. For other Doctor Who podcasts I've been limiting myself mostly to antipodean (Australian/New Zealand) or ones with at least one female host. (Exceptions are made for grumpy old men who know they're grumpy old men and poke fun at themselves and also provide excellent fanfic inspiration.)
And that's fine! If it's alright, I might not immediately subscribe to you here but I will follow you on twitter

Date: 2018-12-21 01:06 pm (UTC)I'm mostly a Doctor/Rose shipper with some dabbling in the Doctor/Master and the Doctor/Master/Rose ships.
Yay for baking, graphic design, crafting, history and cats.

Date: 2018-12-21 01:32 pm (UTC)I see you do icons, which I used to do, but then didn't when I went to tumblr because larger graphics were more rigeur. (Also I really loved textures then and not so much psds. I now love colour adjustment layers of course.)
Doctor/Rose isn't necessarily a thing I ship, but I do think it's an important part of their characterisation to at least acknowledge that something was there. Also the art is cute and I had a lot of fun imagining how Rose would approve of Thirteen's hair.

Date: 2018-12-21 02:15 pm (UTC)I used to love doing icons and it's something I've loved picking back up since icons are more fun to make than graphics...
And gif making took me forever and then never seemed to get notes. Plus since I hate using psds it took me forever to color specific scenes.
^_^ Rose would totally adore 13's hair.
I still have to watch the new season. I kind of lost interest during season 7 and then I keep trying the new seasons to see if it goes back to being the show I've loved. I've heard that the new season is great so I'm kind of excited to see if it's back.
Love the cat icon btw.

Date: 2018-12-22 11:13 am (UTC)Gifs are a bit easier once you learn Photoshop CS6 and CC) can trim down clips for you, but I'd never be a 'five minutes after the thing is out' giffer.
Series 7 was a definite low point. I can't remember how I stuck it out but it was probably part obligation, part arrival of a new Doctor at the end of it. Then Missy kept turning up and made things interesting, and series 10 made me fall in love with it again.
Thank you! I've had it for like... seven years now. (And should probably really look at refreshing several of my icons.)
