Introduction: i'm kit or maya! i'm new to DW and am here because of a few too many negative experiences on twitter and tumblr. im a full time student so i'll likely spend most of my time lurking, but i hope to participate in some prompt/meme challenges and hopefully meet others while i'm here!

I see on your tagged interests that you like Vanitas no Carte, which is one of the top things I talk about along with Witch Hat Atelier of late. :D I'm on the outskirts of the Bungo Stray Dogs fandom; I've written a little for it and keep up on the anime and manga here-and-there. yesss im loving vnc! i have all printed volumes and keep up with it each month (I'm so sad it's on hiatus right now.... I miss my boys...). I'm glad to hear you're into BSD, even if only a little bit! It's my current hyperfixation, if you ever want me to talk your ear off about it :3c

Ahh, my obsession with VNC runs deep... I do the same with the volumes and the chapters; I must know what happens next. ^^ While I also miss the characters, I figure this serves as some good time for me to catch up on some of my VNC fanfic and such. XD

BSD is good stuff; I'm looking forward to whenever the next season is out for sure!

good point! since it's serialized monthly, I tend to forget details easily (doesn't help I'm bad with names...) so I can use this hiatus to re-read it, maybe reignite my passion so that I can write fic :3

I have not-so-great feelings towards S3 of the BSD anime, but I still hope we get S4 regardless because it's my favorite series and also I WANT ANIMATED GOGOL SO BAD PLEASE BONES, PLEASE, GIVE ME MY CLOWN MAN

That sounds like fun to me! It also sounds like we're getting a chapter this month, so I'm preparing myself for some meta thoughts. ^^

I know the anime has been a little so-so on some of what it's done, but I like that they try to include some of the light novel stuff and, of course, that the animation itself is good. I'm also hoping they continue and catch up more with the manga!

ohohoho really??? :333 that is really exciting! i can't wait to read your meta thoughts (idk if you saw, but I joined your VNC comm!) because ive never really interacted with this fandom (the person who got me into the manga to begin with is way behind now so i cant talk about it with them weh) so im excited to see what you think!!

for all the faults of their LN adaptations (looks at entrance exam and 15, oh god,) i do like that they thought to include them! it makes the entirety of the story a lot more accessible to the casual fan, and idk what i'd do with my life if I didn't have odasaku in the anime because he's so good... if they do make a s4, i'd love to see how they animate the current arc and its characters because it is a RIDE

I haven't read the light novels yet myself (partially because I had a hard time finding them, but they seem to be getting an official translation of late), but it doesn't surprise me that there was some trouble with the anime adaptation, if for no other reason than they had time restraints. Unfortunately common in the anime field of late (they're flooded, so...). The current arc (which I'm mostly caught up on save for a few recent chapters) has definitely been a ride. XD Very curious to see how things go down!

I've never written meta myself (at least I don't think, lol), so maybe one day I'll try my hand at it! I have... lots of theories and hcs I'd like to share someday, at least.

I have access to (most) all of the currently translated light novels, if you're ever interested! I have the officially translated Entrance Exam (LN1), Dark Era (LN2), and Untold Story (LN3), will have LN4, 55 Minutes, when it comes out in July, and I have two fan translations (by DarkestJay8686 on Wattpad) of BEAST and Fifteen! (I say "I have" these last two because I have them in a word doc, because they got removed by Wattpad for a while and haven't been confirmed for official translations yet, so I didn't want to lose them.)

I think I'll purchase the ones that are currently out in the U.S. when I have the ability to, but I would be interested in the fan translations if those are simple enough to share! Thanks so much for the offer. ^^

Yesss, it's always great to show your support! I've bought them... 3 times a pop? Once in japanese (I can't read jpn, but I like the art, and one day it'll be good practice), once in print english, and once again in ebook format jhdhjg.

I'm not as into anime fandoms as I once was, but I like reading about them all the same. Our interests outside specific fandom seem to align, though! My journal is a mess of memes and challenges that have been begun and slowly slowly are being filled in. I enjoy reading about fandoms I don't share (a friend recently got me deep into an AU for a fandom i'd never even knew existed, so,) so i'm more than happy to add you!

I had a cool discussion about this a few weeks back with pauraque about how some people's fannishness can include seeing fandom at large rather than only one's own interests. Part of my enjoyment as a fan comes from seeing other people being fans, regardless of what it is they're squeeing over. ^_^

Yeah, that is exactly how I feel! It can be comforting in a way too, for those moments you feel lonely, isolated, or just bad, seeing other people unapologetically squeeing over the things they love is a really great mood lifter!
