I've posted here before, but I just realised that was three years ago, so I thought I'd swing by again with an updated post!

Main Fandoms: My current fixations are Classic Who and The Terror. I'm also back to reading the Aubreyad recently and had a lot of fun with Good Omens (old book fan who got sucked back in). Other important mainstays/formative fandoms are Sherlock Holmes (books/Granada/Ritchie), Star Trek TOS, and the Vampire Chronicles. I have a lot of fandoms and I tend to cycle through them.

Other Info: I'm a queer postgrad with a background in Old Norse, archaeology and English. I like 19th century polar exploration. Recovering(?) baby goth, into tea and Dungeons and Dragons. I'm not new to DW/LJ, but I keep forgetting to stick with it! I use tumblr actively (I'm here), but I'm kinda missing communities, commenting, and getting to listen to other people chat about their fannish interests, so I'm giving DW another go (I'm also on pillowfort).

I would love to add you, we share a TON of the same tastes -- Granada Holmes, Aubrey/Maturin, Star Trek TOS, Lawrence of Arabia, Thorki, polar exploration and The Terror... oh my god, and Kingsman and True Detective... every time I scroll up and check I'm like, "Wait, there's more" XD

On DW I mostly post about my daily life and the books I'm reading, but whenever I read a new Holmes pastiche, I do a full book review, so there's that XD I'm most active when it comes to Star Trek and T.E. Lawrence, fandom-wise, because those are pretty much eternal interests, all year-round.

I enjoy seeing people post about their reads! Even if I don't always have anything clever to contribute. And it's cool that you have T. E. Lawrence as one of your main interests. What a guy. I've got Seven Pillars as well as his Odyssey translation sitting on my shelf but in that sort of "These are an investment because I will read them eventually, I've just got a mile-long TBR to get through first" way. :')

Yes! I finally read his Odyssey translation last month! Reading it side by side with Stanley Lombardo's translation was a treat. I need to go back and highlight some of Lawrence's peculiarities. He INSISTS on never repeating the "rosy-fingered dawn" line XD
