I haven't rewatched it in a while but sometimes I'll catch an episode airing and have the time of my life all over again, haha. Once a xenite always a xenite, I suppose! :) And yeah, dungeon synth is still kind of niche but I suspect that the rise of online tabletop gaming might give it a push one of these days -- it would be pretty cool to run players through wilderness exploration with some Fief playing in the background!

I agree, being a Xenite is for life :) I sometimes still watch an episode on my DVD’s when I’m in the mood for it. It’s always a joy.

Oh my God, I love Fief! I recently ordered a few of their t-shirts to support them, and because I really liked the design (illustration) on the t-shirts! It would be cool if dungeon synth became a bit more widespread, but on the other hand, it’s also fun that it’s a niche. It sometimes feels a bit cosy in that way :)

Oh, I looked the shirt designs up and they look amazing! I love engraving illustrations and it's always good when we can support artists we like. As Fief definitely stands out, the cool merch is a bonus.

I mean, considering how close the genre is to its more black metal roots, yeah, it might never really take off because not every one likes BM (I do and that's how I found it, haha). Some of it just lends itself so, so well to dungeon crawling RPG sessions that I can't help but wonder with the resurgence the hobby has seen lately! :)
