OK, I know my posting here may seem really strange, as I only just created my journal and haven't written a single post :) The thing is, I do have a 2,500+ entries journal on Dreamwidth, which is a copy of my Livejournal, but it's in Russian (my native language), and now I decided that I needed a separate journal where I could write in English, thus practicing it. So, I'm looking for new friends, and this community seemed a good place to start :)

Other Info: I have a university degree in the English language and foreign literature, and I work as a linguist and translator. I live in St Petersburg, a beautiful city in Northwestern Russia. I've dreamed about getting a cat for a long time, but ended up with a lovely Yorkshire terrier called Smiley :) I'm fond of languages (speaking two - Russian and English, learning three more - Spanish, Finnish, and German), history, and coffee :)
