Creativity kind of went kaput when we went back to college in 2009. Since then, it has been non-fiction, text books and theory. While those things are interesting, the creative bug really takes off when fandom is in our life. So this is a cry for substance other than the hardcore reality in which we live. Help us out...give us a try...if you have similar interests feel free to comment and add!
Name: We are a plural system (dissociative identity disorder), which does take some getting used to, but we don't bite! Overall, the system's body name is Romy.
Age: somewhere in the 30s...maybe closer to 40...but we don't take it too seriously. Seriously!
Country: USA
Subscription/Access Policy: Pretty open. We do use filters, but they are opt-in to spare the access list the crap they have no interest in. So, if you want to be on any of the filters you will have to ask.
Main Fandoms: Steampunk; Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, sometimes Harry Potter; Pirates of the Caribbean; Godzilla movies; gaming fandoms like Final Fantasy VII-XIII; old school anime stuff like Robotech, Voltron, Star Blazers, Weiss Kreuz, Gundam Wing, and Saiyuki. Seriously behind on the new stuff, but we have started watching Trinity Blood.
Other Fandoms: Gosh... Dark Shadows (old soap opera), Pixar stuff, Star Wars (4-6)
Fannish Interests: We mod (under a different handle) three video game related fiction communities:
ffvii_100 ,
kh_100 , and
areyougame . We love AMV/FMVs and art.
OTPs and Ships: Pretty fluid...not really set in stone.
Favourite Movies: Harvey, Auntie Mame, Star Wars, Labyrinth, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jaws, The Dark Crystal, Sherlock Holmes
TV Shows: The Middle Man, Doctor Who
Books: read authors like Carol Berg, Cherie Priest, Scott Westerfeld, Lynn Flewelling, Isaac Asimov, Jim C. Hines, etc. Mostly fantasy, sci fi and steampunk.
Music: Incredibly eclectic - will literally listen to anything once.
Games: We are obsessed with the Lego games.
Comics/Anime/Misc: mostly Weiss Kreuz, Gundam Wing and Saiyuki...have a soft spot of yaoi and boys love stories.
Other Info: In college we are coming down to our last few semesters for our dual degree. We are majoring in history and anthropology and minoring in global studies and gender studies. We internship helping to date historical homes and gather information on the previous owners. We have four cats. We are in a committed relationship (16 years strong) with another plural system.
We do not talk about religion or politics. But if it makes a difference to you, we are decidedly out of the box religiously and independent (slightly left leaning) politically.
Most entries are public, so feel free to look around before you add. You can start with our profile or with this entry here.
Thanks! Looking forward to meeting you!

Date: 2012-07-21 07:11 am (UTC)I mostly use this blog to fangirl over stuff. Right now I'm talking a lot about A Dance With Dragons, cuz I'm making my way through it (so there will probably be a bit more of that).

Date: 2012-07-21 03:05 pm (UTC)It's book five in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Essentially, some of the more "noble" people start getting their due for being horrible people; all sorts of people have converged on the queen who has the only living dragons at her disposal (because they want to use her for her dragons); and all the while winter is coming to the Seven Kingdoms (seasons in this world can last for years, and from what it sounds like, this winter is going to be long and horrible). And there's plenty of set up for the next book in the series. Let me see if I can find you guys something more thorough so that you can get a better idea ... try this.
