Main Fandoms: Very big into Once Upon a Time! I also love Robert Carlyle in everything he does. Other current fandoms are Elementary, Person of Interest, Doctor Who, anything David Tennant.
Other Fandoms: Castle, The Hobbit, Sherlock, Leverage, White Collar, Revenge, with past fandoms of Lie to Me, Life on Mars, BSG, BtVS, and AtS
Fannish Interests: I write reviews of episodes, meta, make picspams (many picspams), and make graphics (mostly icons)
OTPs and Ships: I don't actively ship on most shows (I tend to be happy going along with the canon ships) but once I get an OTC, I ship them with lots of other characters. So Rumpel/Belle, Rumpel/Regina, Rumpel/Jefferson, Rumpel/Emma are a few of my OUAT ships. So far I don't ship anyone on Elementary or Person of Interest and ship everyone with the Tenth Doctor. :)
Favorite Characters: On OUAT: Rumpelstiltskin, Regina, Snow White, Emma, Red, Charming, Jefferson, Belle, Aurora, but basically I love everyone on the show. Holmes and Watson, Reese, Finch, Carter, Tenth Doctor, Simm!Master, Rose, Donna, Martha, Amy, Rory, Starbuck, Apollo, Six, Leoben, Buffy, Spike, Wesley, Lilah

Favorite Movies: The Hobbit, LotR, Star Wars, Emma, Much Ado About Nothing, Princess Bride, Singin' in the Rain, most anything by Pixar, and many others
Books: many, many - some authors I love include: Tolkien, Julian May, Tad Williams, Elizabeth Moon, Ursula LeGuin, Sean Russell, Patricia A. McKillip. Also I love ancient history, anthropology, paleontology, and other similar subjects.
Other Interests: Cooking! I post about food and recipes with some frequency. Quilting - I'm getting back into this.

About My Journal: I post quite frequently - on an average I post once a day, some days more and some days I skip. I tend to comment on people's posts and I will reply to comments in my journal. Basically I'm interested in making fandom friends - I'm looking for people who post, who comment, and who reply to comments. My posts are about 80% fandom - mostly picspams, icons and meta along with reviews and recs. Another 10% is probably posts about my pets (three cats, a dog, and a turtle), recipes, gardening, books, the weather, other things that interest me. And the rest are locked personal posts.

If you are looking for OUAT friends I'm definitely the right person! I talk about the show a rather embarrassing amount. I do mostly talk about Rumpel and his arc/character but I'm happy to squee about everyone else too. (And if you've been to the main comms on lj you have definitely seen me - I post picspams, icons, and discussion questions regularly.)

I do see that you've granted me access. I'm not sure if you meant to subscribe (read my posts) and I'll subscribe to you now.

Okay, that should be all corrected. I don't know if you need to grant me access now or what - I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of DW.

That said, I'll reply to the rest of your comment now. There's no such thing as talking about it an embarrassing amount. I love Rumpel! I always say Rumple, but I'm going to be more proactive about spelling it correctly. I like all the characters on the show, but I'm quite partial to the ladies, since they're also such strong, female characters and I love the way that they interact.

Don't get too fussed about spelling it correctly. *g* Half of the fandom uses Rumpelstiltskin and the other half uses RumpLEstiltskin. The second one is how it's spelled on the show but I've gotten used to the first.

I definitely love all the women on the show too. I love that the savior is a woman and that four women went on a quest together - no men needed. I do hope they keep the focus mainly on the female characters as the show continues.

I don't have many online friends into BSG. And so far I don't think any of my rl friends have seen OUaT which I am slowly getting through the first season of at least. I am loving Rumple though, I enjoyed the story as a kid and like the way they are incorporating his story into things and changing things around to keep things new.

I did love BSG when it was on but I don't talk about it much anymore. OUAT I talk about all the time and I especially love what a bastard/manipulator Rumpel is to everyone. Where are you in the series?

I only saw BSG in the last year or two myself so I was behind but didn't get the wait between episodes and seasons at least. I just finished watching through it a second time and still adore it and regard it as a favourite. Just a shame when Katee came for a con I had barely started the show to really appreciate her role as Kara, who ended up my fave.

OUaT I am still getting through the first season. I'm nearly finished though. Last ep I saw was the one about Red's backstory. I don't really want to look for icons or anything yet in case of spoilers though.

I really did love Kara's arc on the show but I had to admit that as one who watched the show during its original run I wasn't very happy with how it ended. But I do still have very fond memories of the beginning and middle of the series.

Red Handed! One of my favorite episodes. I ♥ Red. I also thought that episode started a run of really strong episodes leading into the finale. Your best bet for finding posts and icons now is to use the wayback machine and check out the archive. abc_onceupon over on lj is a fairly active community with lots of posts.

I can imagine watching it as it aired might have been more disappointing to an extent in regards to the ending and it being aired during the writer strike thing as well. I wasn't as happy with Kara after season three but watching it a second time, I agree with Katee in that I kind of grew to accept it more the next time I watched through it than I did initially at least.

I really liked the way they handled and changed Red Riding Hood's story in the show! But I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the coming episodes I have to get through after it. I am just hoping the season doesn't end on a cliffhanger since it might be a while. The wayback machine?

True. I'm mostly just kind of tired of the 'but what. What happens next. You mean I have to wait? Damn you cliffhangers!' thing after watching Dexter's sixth season finale and having to wait for the next on DVD. So hopefully this show spares me that. I'm hopeful of it, if doubtful it actually will. Because shows are evil like that and need to make people watch the next part. :l

I also like Once Upon a Time. I'm really big into Elementary right now, and I love Doctor Who [I'm partial to the eleventh doctor]. I also watch Castle [haven't had a chance to watch this season], and I did watch Lie to Me.

Hey! I got into OUaT not long ago, and your posts about seem very interesting, so I'd love to chat to you (we talked briefly on the ouat comm too, and I'm using one of your icons right not...). Rumple is my favourite as well, and I'm completely behind shipping him with everyone; there are so many great relationships in that series.

And I remember your post - you had some questions and theories you wanted to discuss. If you are all caught up and still love Rumpel (they have been leaning quite heavy on the 'he's an evil, manipulating asshole' theme this year), then we definitely have something in common. Personally I really enjoy what a manipulative bastard he is and how he is in the middle of everything but I know that it's not for everyone!

I'm all caught up and I most definitely still love Rumple – I'm pretty sure I would never, ever grow tired of him being behind about half of all the important events that happened, or of him being a manipulative bastard. And what makes me feel sympathy for him (rather than just be impressed, because mmm, competence!) is how much sense his goals and fears make, and nothing in season 2 has changed that so far (I'm not sure I should go into detail, because of potential spoilers for other people...?)
