Hi, your post was deleted after a member of the community alerted me to the text of your post which stated that you were 10 years old. According to Dreamwidth's terms of service, you must be 13 years old in order to have an account, due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

In order to protect you, I deleted the post, restricted your membership temporarily, and contacted Dreamwidth for advice on what to do.

I have just heard back from them a few minutes ago, and they were able to look at your account and confirm that you are actually older than 10 and that it is likely you are roleplaying a character. As such, I would have unrestricted your membership again (but it appears you have left the community) and contacted you about this issue.

I apologise for not contacting you about this issue first, but there was nothing in your post to suggest that you were roleplaying or that you were anything other than a 10 year old, so I needed to take the post at face value and contact Dreamwidth first.

I am undecided right now about people posting friend requests "in character" and will likely make a post to the community seeking opinions as to whether to allow them or not. In the meantime, if you wish to rejoin the community and make a post as yourself, you are most welcome to do so.

No age restrictions, other than Dreamwidth's COPPA compliance, which is 13+ so you are good to go.

I think its just a coincidence that everyone is 18+, though now I am looking at it and going back pages and pages, it is kind of odd/weird lol.
